GAME WORLD SCHOLARSHIP REGULATIONS

The beneficiaries of the Game World Scholarships may be students, romanian citizens, admitted to psychology faculties in year 3 of studies and who choose to do the bachelor's thesis with the theme "Psychotherapy of gambling addiction"

The criteria for awarding the scholarships cannot be: age, sex, religion, race, political belonging of the candidate or his family, membership of legally constituted organizations or activity according to romanian legislation, number of years spent in other educational institutions, studies performed abroad, as well as access to other scholarships obtained from other incomes.

The conditions for applicants for Game World scholarships:

  • to be admitted in year 3 of studies to a psychology faculty in Romania
  • to choose as a specialty "Psychotherapy of gambling addiction"
  • to submit the application file by October 31, 2019

The Game World Scholarships are awarded through a dossier and interview contest organized by the Evaluation Commission from November 1 to 20.

The application file must contain the following documents (in Romanian):

  • Copy of the identity card
  • Student certificate at a psychology college
  • The enrollment sheet for the first 2 years of study
  • Copy of the baccalaureate diploma
  • At least one recommendation from a teacher / other references in the psychology specialty
  • CV
  • Motivational essay that includes relevant information about the applicant, the motivation of applying for a Game World Scholarship, the motivation of choosing to study psychology and to specialize in the field of addiction prevention and treatment.

The application file must be sent to the Game World Romania headquarters, Bucharest, sector 5, AFI Tech Park 1, floor 5 with the mention of the Game World Bursaries or by email, at burse@gameworld.ro

The evaluation and selection of the beneficiaries of the Game World scholarships will be done by a commission made up of at least 3 members.

The composition of the commission will be communicated by October 31, 2019.

The scoring criteria for evaluation and selection are the following:

  • Recommendations / references maximum 10 points
  • The enrollment sheet and the baccalaureate notes maximum 15 points
  • Motivational essay maximum 40 points
  • Structure and presentation maximum 10 points
  • Originality and personal style maximum 10 points
  • Relevance of the maximum content 10 points
  • Personal perspective on additions maximum 10 points
  • Interview maximum 35 points
  • Maximum total score: 100 points

 

Candidates selected as beneficiaries of the "Game World" scholarships, following the evaluation made by the members of the commission, will be communicated publicly by November 30, 2019.

Each of the beneficiaries of the Game World scholarships will sign a contract for awarding the private scholarship for a period of 1 year and a payment commitment, according to the Law no. 374/2004 and of the instructions for its application according to OMEC no. 5371/2004.

The beneficiaries of the scholarships must:

  • maintain the quality of student throughout the school year
  • to promote all the exams and evaluation colloquiums from year 3 studies
  • to support his license with the theme "Psychotherapy of gambling addiction"

All the obligations of the beneficiaries of the scholarships are stipulated in the contract.

Failure to comply with these obligations will result in the suspension of the scholarship.
